I think you have a really nice design on your site. I love that you have the aliens in the background and it feels very gameresque. I think you hit your niche spot on.
Most of the successful topsites have images next to the names and titles of the site link. I think that would be my suggestion there. An image might persuade someone a little more than just a link and a description. Or you could even have it where only the top 3 are allowed images or something around those.
Also if there is a way you can get the alien to cover the entire background because it cuts off a little down the page. A good background could also really bring in more traffic because it will look nice.

These sites always have a good business aspect because there's a lot of room for advertising and you can get high traffic because people will constantly get people to vote for their sites. I think you should totally take advantage of this and load up your site with ads. At this point it doesn't matter because you'll get traffic from the people visiting and voting for their sites.
I would just make sure to keep advertising, submitting your site to the search engines, and keep up with updates. You can really monetize on this site.

I think you have the structure down. I like that the sites are on the left side bar and in the middle on the actual top site. This will definitely entice more people to enter their sites to your top site because of more visibility.
Again, the only thing I would really add are pictures to go with all of the links or just a top few. It's really easy to keep up on your site and this review is a little short because you did a nice job putting a top site together and there is never really too much to say about them.
