What should I do..? what categories that I need to do that make it better or not as many or maybe ways to get people to post 🙂

One thing I notice on some forums is that the forum is not front & center. If you want more activity on the forum, I'd put the forum first then link to The Gallery. For me personally, when I go to a website, it's for the forum not the articles.
You have good categories. I think more Post Exchanges would help out.
But it's also what YOU would like most for Bayside. What are YOUR goals?

I really like your gallery and the categories you have, but it's not overly prominent besides the header nav link. Perhaps you could include a slider on the forum index with the top rated images, or most recently uploaded? Similar to the reviews slider you have -- this could make the gallery more visible to your users. Perhaps also some incentive to encourage participation - I notice you don't seem to have a forum currency but perhaps a 'Top Image of the Week/Month' type of award, and some form of prize. Just a few ideas for you!
