I have used various forum software over the years from phpBB to Vbulletin and I also like to try new software out and as I use WordPress I have been looking into bb press, as it can be used as a plugin or as a stand alone software, has anyone tested the software and what are you indepth thoughts on the software, what are the pros and cons compared to more established software on the market. The software is still in Beta stages for a plugin but for WordPress users looking to expand their site it does look very interesting.

Ok you have stated your opinion without explaining your view. I am after knowledge and understanding on the positives and negatives with regards to the software from people who have used it so as to give me a better understanding on what the software is like from an admins point of view.
Well, If you are looking for a simple forum to be integrated into wordpress (It doesn't need a separate database too), then its good. And note that its developed by wordpress developers, so you never never have to look for 3rd party bridges as of MyBB, phpBB and others.
But its too simple compared to other forum scripts. If Forum is the main idea for your site, then bbPress isn't suitable for you. Its good for "Bloggers" who want a simple discussion system in their blog.
Thanks Kavin, I am still deciding what avenue to go down, the next question is which is the best forum software to bridge with WordPress so both look the same etc?
