Honest, I do not know, been to so many beaches 😛 If I had to pick then I would say Coles Bay in Tasmania 🙂

I've been to 4 of the 5 Great Lakes in Michigan. Lake Michigan (great for sunsets) & Lake Huron (great for sunrises) have some nice beaches.

I am in California, beaches all over. Most are nice. Not sure which one is the best. Maybe Baker Beach in San Francisco since the Golden Gate Bridge is right there, nice view. Not good for swimming though, its always soooooo coooooold.
