Beaches?

Do you like going to the beach? Why or why not?

I love going to the beach I just hate it when sand gets all over me and everything else that I brought with me. I also don’t know what’s in the ocean tbh but I still get in the water anyways. XD
 
Yeah, I grew up living 15 minutes away from the beach, and still live that close. I pretty much try to go at least once a week in the summer.
 
I've only gone to the beach along an ocean a few times, so I don't have much of an opinion about that type of beach. And I am not that impressed with the beaches around the lakes here.

I hate lake beaches. They’re not pretty to me. We have one around the dam where I live.
 
Beaches be crazy 😛

Well anyway, I liked going to the beach as a kid but obviously not now, especially when these days they attract the lowest common denominator like flies. To me, they're only good for capturing nice-enough views (when I do photography that is).

Lake beaches can be nice. I live about 5 minutes from the beach by the lake. It's nice but it gets too crowded on the weekends, so I usually only go on weekdays. I like to take the dogs for a walk there, there's some nice trails in the beach park.
 
I lived like 5 minutes from the gulf of mexico for about 3 years. It was nice I guess but I can do without the beach, I would take a nice forest or mountains over a beach any day of the week.

Yeah, everyone I know who has lived around a beach says the same thing! I’ve lived in the mountains my whole life, so obviously I don’t like them that much. 😛

I love the mountains despite being around them. Well, anyway, I'm not really around real mountains. This is part of the Great Valley. It's a region of low mountains. To see real mountains, you have to go north into the Clinch, and especially south into the Blue Ridge (Smokies etc.).
 
Takes 90 or so miles to get to the beach where I'm from. I'm in the middle of the country. My last home was like 2mins walk to the beach and I can see ships going passed on a good day 🙂

Always been an seaside city person. Last time I been near the sea was 3 weeks ago.

England is a sea nation. Where I live it takes a good 8 hour drive to reach the ocean.
 
The beach is always a big event where I live because it's far away. In other words, you're looking at spending - at the least, 500 USD just to see it! Anyway, a popular southern beach everyone likes is Myrtle Beach South Carolina, but I've not been, only Charleston SC, Cape Hatteras NC, and Savannah GA,. The last two I can barely remember.
 
I love going to the beach! 😀 I guess the only issue I have with going to the beach is when I get sand all over me. Jeez, that stuff seems to stick around forever 😀 but other than that I love to take walks down the beach and just relax.
 
I am lucky in the highlands of Scotland we have some lovely clean beaches and I go when I can
