Become a Moderator on Forum Promotion!


Hello everyone,

We are currently looking for people to join the Moderation team. Before you complete the application and send it in, please be sure to read the description below:

Responsibilities of a Moderator:

  • Handle and close reports! - As part of your job as a CTM, you will be required to handle reports that come in from other members in a timely matter, as well as close them when you are finished.
  • Starting and finishing site battles! - You will be required to start and finish site battles, and manage the pending site battles as well.
  • Moving misplaced threads to their new home - Inactive threads (in particular boards), completed/inactive graphics requests, and misplaced threads will be moved on almost a daily/weekly basis. Your responsibility is to look for those threads, and take the appropriate action.
  • Handle Disputes and enforce the FP Rules! - You are responsible for ensuring the rules on all boards are being enforced, as well as handling disputes that may arise.

Requirements to apply:

  • Be Active! - Being an active member of the staff team is vital to the Moderation team's success. We do not require daily posts, however we do expect some level of activity each day. We understand life can get in the way - however, if your life is busy right now or you know you won't have time for this position in the near future, please reconsider applying.
  • Be Fun! - "Be fun" sounds like a really strange requirement, right? Being apart of the CT means you have to have a fun and outgoing personality, a personality that people love and can trust. You should have a uplifting and fun attitude whilst having the ability to handle serious situations as maturely as possible.
  • Know how to stay calm! - You must be able to keep a cool head, even when members are pushing your buttons.
  • 50 posts or more! - If you have below 50 posts and you meet the general requirements above, and you think you would make an amazing team member, please apply anyway!

Do y'all really need 5 CTMs? Let's be honest, FP isn't that active anymore to warrant that many lol
Indeed, FP does look less active than it has been in the past. However, it's still a strong forum that needs a dedicated team to keep things moving. Since much of the CT activity isn't visible, it's easy to underestimate how much they do for us.

We are looking for more CTMs to help with that. 🙂 As someone who's part of the FP team right now and was part of the CT, I think it's a wonderful opportunity.

Perhaps it would be more productive to weed out the dead weight. There's plenty that happens behind the scenes within any community, but public perspective is just as important. Staff members need to be maintaining activity in the public forums, regardless of how busy things may be behind the scenes.
