Looks like they started filming Beetlejuice 2! It won't be out for another year, but the excitement is building now. There is a strong team of actors in the film and most sequels bomb. Do you think this one will live up to the hype?

I tend to agree. Hollywood and the movie industry in general is dying a slow death. Streaming has certainly played its part in that but so has the current lack of originality. There have been far too many poor quality prequels, sequels, remakes and Marvel films. Film studios need to take more risks and make original films like Oppenheimer and Barbie.
Tim Burton is a great director but I doubt this sequel will have the same impact as the original.
What do you think about the cast?
I'm only familiar with half the cast, Keaton, Ryder and Dafoe but they are all great actors, especially Willem Dafoe.
I am pretty confident in this, honestly. Especially with the original Beetlejuice coming back and I am keeping high hopes. I thought it was coming out on September 6th this year because I just saw the trailer on Twitter but I could be wrong.

I recall watching the first one with my parents so long ago, I'll have to find it online and rewatch it to prepare for this.
I’m not holding out much hope for this, there have been a lot of sequels and reboots of successful films over the last few years and sadly not a huge number of them have been a great success, I suppose only time will tell…
Yeah, I'm not sure I'll spend money on it at the theater...not unless I hear that some of my friends really recommend going to see it.
I love the first film! It's my favorite Tim Burton film so I will definitely be checking this out when it comes out! I am a bit skeptical, I hope it will be good but I can't judge it until I see it of course.
Who's going to see the new movie? I am in a couple weeks. Our local cinema has really uncomfortable seats so going to another cinema but it's an hour or two away from here so staying in the city for a couple nights.
