have you ever had this feeling like you are being watched by other members in the public if you use social media Facebook, FP etc etc..... I normally more less use FP everyday of my life for a 1 year now. What do you do? Also i don't know if this the right section or not.

Of course, you're being watched on Facebook. :grumpy: That's how they make their money. It's all a trap for online customers - sort of like how Myrtle Beach and Coney Island are ones for tourists.

Not really. There are options you know, the big one that more and more people are taking up is deleting (not deactivating, deleting) their FB account and having actual social interactions and stuff.
I did it in 2015 and I almost swear I need to write an effing self help book or something. It's not hard, people!

I'm a very paranoid person when it comes to this, type of thing, so I always feel like I'm being watched. xD

Facebook is good for traffic since search engines cannot be beaten nowadays without a lot of money and PPC is also expensive.

I tend to keep my name out of the online world and have an online name and we all know what that is lol

If you choose to document your entire life of Facebook, don't feel creeped out when people know where and when to find you at all times. Don't feel creeped out when you visit family or friends & they already know everything you've been up to before hand and question you about it unprovoked. You brought it on yourself.

And don't get bored around people when you have nothing to talk about EVER. Don't forget that too!

I hate meeting up with friends and they all have nothing to say to each other because they effing broadcast everything and here I am Mr. no-social-media who is actually interesting but they couldn't give a shit because they are too busy on their damn phones (which I routinely leave at home or in my car...In fact just tonight we got home and I left my phone in the car and my wife was all 'So you gonna go and get it?' and she was all shocked when I was like 'Why? It's just a stupid phone.')

Nobody had social media or the internet when I was in school so I can't relate.

I don't use any of it as I don't have a life that I wish to broadcast to the entire world via social media. I rather keep things to myself for the most part. As for being watched, just remember that when you go out in public that you are surrounded by people who have a camera in their pocket and a way to broadcast that video to the entire world so privacy is quickly becoming a thing of the past.

Another unfortunate thing is most people these days are intellectually shallow in the sense that unless you plan on talking about something that came off the TV or something that someone on TV said is something you should see, watch, etc. then you aren't going to have a lot to talk about with most people. There is an old saying about silence being golden and I think that's becoming more and more true these days.

Some stuff being broadcast is cool, but as a rule of thumb, the best idea is to shut up.:arghh: At least, it seems to be the case for some people. However, note, though, the people making harsh political opinions are not having to face those that would do more than smacking their face. 😉 The people broadcasting their family or hobby 24/7 are not in social situations where people would make fun of them. So are these people cowardly?

However, then again, certain people play favorites, giving an easy time to people they like, while bashing even the mildest comment of those they hate.

Honestly if one's beliefs were sitting on sturdy ground then that person would not need to threaten people with anything. If anything, the need to threaten people with violence and the like just demonstrates how weak the position really is. The truth needs no help other then the need to speak it as it can stand on its own while lies and falsehoods cannot. if anything, being threatened for a belief or statement made is an admission of defeat whether they wish to admit it or not.

I'd say a person who cannot stand a dissenting belief is the coward as it takes real courage to hear a dissenting belief that goes against yours and not be shaken by it.
