Beneficial plug-ins

Going from @Shawn's post Getting rid of plugins which talked of feature bloat, I was wondering what plug-ins people feel ARE beneficial to the forum then. I figure this be a nice topic pairing with his post 🙂
When I first started my Proboards forum, I went with what other PB forum owners did because I didn't know what to do. Now that I learned more, I do ones that make life easier for members. However, I don't overdo it. Since I'm not technically inclined, more I have, more can go wrong & I don't know how to fix it!
Examples of ones I think are beneficial are:
Quick scrolling buttons. The nice little up & down arrow on the side.
Simple tagging. Where it has the members who replied in the thread near the Reply box.
Participated thread avatar. I always liked a Xenforo's forum where it posts your avatar next to posts you reply to. Being on so many forums, I forget WHAT I have replied to!

Whether you have Proboards or another platform, which ones do you feel your members would like?

So much has changed since I was full-on running a forum and adding plugins and such but going from what I see on other forums and also from what I remember, the ones I feel that are needed and beneficial at least for me are a list of similar threads so that people can see as they post a title whether or not the thread has already been posted, an ads manager so that you are able to have it set so certain user groups to see ads or not. I also like the referral plugin as well which allows members to be able to use their own referral link to bring people to the forum and you can keep tabs on that.

I think forums need forum currencies and a marketplace. The posters could earn points for posting and use the points to shop on the marketplace.

We don't have plugins on Jcink, just codes you attach to the board wrappers. Some JavaScript codes I think are beneficial are:

• Referral System
• Topic Preview
• Quick New Topic/PM
• "Select All" Code
• Posting Templates
• Form Script
• Block User Information
