Hey,

Now Since running any site might lead to hackers trying to destroy you offline when your site gets big, What would be the best Firewall that wont conflict with Norton internet security Ive heard of Fort-knock But are there any better programs/Firewall that will stop hackers from Accessing your computer?

Recards,

Spudster

You shouldn't really worry about hackers attacking your computer directly, but attacking your server or website directly.

Ok, But without A Computer How can I get access to the site? I did have someone from HackForums attack my internet once (DOS)

You Do Have A Good Point.

Yet pcworld and many others claim bitdefnder best and norton 3rd-5th.

Ofcourse these ratings really do not mean anything, since alot of times the companies that give the ratings are paid to make x app #1.

Lose Norton. I've never liked it. Found that it eats up memory along with other resources and then there's the fact it slows the computer down. I won't talk about it crashing any computer I've owned and put it on. Go here, http://www.comodo.com/ have a read and then try it. In it's hay day Norton was tops now it's not worth my time and effort. I know many folks that feel the say way. Then again it's "to each their own" we use what we like and are comfy with. 🙂

At the momment i have no PC since he hacked my HDD and brought it down again now i had to put in the shop for them to repair my data.

and would they have a free version for me to try out?

Norton is the worse and isnt worth touching i would rather no virus software then norton thats how bad it is.

Yes Commodo's firewall is 100% free. It is pretty damn good too.

For an anti virus I would suggest Kaspersky Or Avast.

Never tried Kaspersky but, have heard only good about it. I'm a diehard Avast user/fan have been for years.

Ive just had a look at comodoo and like it 🙂

Im going to encrypt my HDD Today (Hard Disk Drive)

So what would be the best hard drive encryption for Windows 7 home premium that can encrypt all partions.

BTW ive added a password within the bios since he was in tried hijacking my PC with the bios.

i have thoughts that this guy is from HackForums.

TrueCrypt is a great free and open source encryption software. It has great reviews and works quite well.

I mainly just use 7-zip to make password protected folders, and I save a few KB to MB of space by also compressing my files as .7z or .zip files at the same time.

Thats not encrypting those, and that can easily be bypassed.

I agree, but it is better then no protection, and if I were sharing sensitive documents with people online. They can easily open them more easily since most people have WinZip, WinRaR, IZarc, 7-zip, and other Zip programs which can open password protected zip folders. The default Zip program in windows XP and above may also be able to open Zips which are password protected according to http://techblissonline.com/how-to-passw ... ows-vista/ .

But, only a small percentage of computer users heard of what TrueCrypt is.

I can also password protect .doc .pdf, and other document file formats as well for one more layer of protection when it is unzipped.

These are better then no protection at all.

but many hackers will work with virus software and find holes within the anti virus softwares to gain access.

So No virus/firewall is 100% secure they woill have holes which will allow unauthorized access to a pc.

What else can i do to protect my pc from further attacks?

And what are ways to encrypt data on a Internal Hard Disk so like When someone submits there password on a website there password in the database looks like this 34567865432w456765432345676ytg3 instead of there original password *Password690*

So A Document would look like this 34567865432 instead of mydoc.txt in the HDD?

Thanks!
