Guys what are the best fonts to use on graphics logos and banners on webdesites and for webdesign purposes? I know it can vary from person to person and from type of the website, but still if you have some favourites as a designer, recommend those here.
If available, please share their download links too.

Verdana is awesome for already installed fonts , and Tahoma it is pretty nice.
If you want other fonts, try Open Sans , Oswald , Droid Sans , Lobster ( for h1 , h2 , h3... ) .
You can search on http://www.google.com/fonts/

In my opinion "Georgia" are the best fonts for designing a website. These fonts resemble pretty smart appearance with style.

Personally I believe it depends on what kind of design you are trying to do and what the website or forum is like. Some people want a very professional looking design with straight lines, while others want something very techie and almost futuristic like, while others might have more of bubbly and warm feel. The words on a designer could make or break a design so it's important to select the right font.

www.dafont.com is my go to for fontstyles I always manage to find something I'm looking for whenever I'm designing an image.

It depends from your site design, content, etc...

One of the most modern and nice font, is Open Sans, or Ubuntu condensed.

I definitely agree that verdana is a nice font. Although, Candara is font I have been using for a while now.

It really depends on what you intend to do. Typography is a complicated creature.

Some of my favorite fonts ( and some which I've been using recently ) are Helvetica Neue, Open Sans, Raleway, Museo Sans, Bodoni, Lato, Roboto, Neue Haas Grotesk, DIN and many others actually.

Typography is insanely complicated.

I'd recommend choosing something original. All the memorable logos you'll see have a font that's distinct to them and helps them stand out. I'd recommend spending an hour or two browsing through custom fonts until you find something that embodies what your site is all about.

I personal use 'Coolvetica' from dafont.com. Modern/Futuristic Feel.

As per my opinion, its totally depends upon the content and the texture of the website. If the website is related to the children's then there we just can put formal and simple font.

True, you won't use a futuristic font is you set up a Gothic website ^^

Anyway Dafont remains a good source for free fonts

I think that Tahoma is a great font. Here are some other good ones that you can download but for the pre-installed ones Tahoma is my favourite.
