Best Forum Maker?

Apparently IPBfree is closing down soon. Forumotion is ok and prophpbb isn't that bad either, however it has no mods. I personally set up a hosting account (free/paid) and use phpBB3 normal, rather than use phpBB hosting as phpBB3 is better. However it is different for IPB, http://jcink.com seems to be a well reccomended host, better then the normal IPB 1.3 at least.

Hope I helped 🙂

I would say do as sbfc93 said, only use http://000webhost.com as your free host. I used them for awhile before I switch to paid and the best part is if you want to change software or switch hosts you can download a backup and transfer it -🙂-

Yes, you can make backups in phpmyadmin (export) and restore as well 🙂

Don't use 000webhost. They're terrible. They have lots of downtime, and I've heard reports from users that their successful sites were shut down for no reason at all. Not to mention, 000webhost's affiliate program is a COMPLETE SCAM.

That being said, if you're looking for a free host, try Novahost or Oxyhost. Both are excellent.

If you're looking for a free FORUM host, go with Forumotion. They now even have Invision. 🙂

Novahost are a really good host with good speed and they also offer unrestricted cpanel 11 also.

sbfc93, where did you hear that? That ipbfree, is closing down?

I never had any issues with 000webhost, they worked well for me with no downtime the entire time I was hosted with them, which was 6 months I think. I only switched to BlueHost because they were cheaper on paid hosting and gave me more features. I dont think IPBFree is closing down...its not on their homepage...
