Best Free Forum Hosting?

Well I would suggest that you stay far away from FreeForums.org, ForumUp.com is pretty bad as well.

I would suggest Forumotion.com as 've not heard any bad things about it but then again I've not actually used their service much.
 
I'd recommmend Forumotion aswell, I've been using it alot. The only bad thing is server might be down, but I've had my forum up for a couple 'o months and it has only happened twice. Stay away from SMFForFree!
 
Well FreeForums.org is pretty much down 24/7 so stay well clear from there.

Might I ask why he should stay away from smfforfree?

It is run from one of the guys at the smf site. It also has alot of stuff edited for new users to make it easier.
 
Forumotion has a lot of exploitable features and bugs in it. It is a good service, but not appealing when it comes to security.

It's freaking screwed, at least was when I tried it... When you made a board you couldn't see the posts in it without finding the post somehow and repeat and after a while it appears... Which was the most annoying of the things.

I recommend a real web host as it is more customizable and reliable.

You should. The only bad thing about them is that they don't have a lot of MODs instill because they want maker sure our forums run 24/7, doesn't take more then 5 seconds to load, and is protected.

Incorrect it is based on ipb 1.3.

if it were based on ipb 2 they would have to by a license for every forum made.

Odd I am on three smfforfree forums,and they all do not have this problem.
