Heya there. I am currently using forumotion but I am really unhappy with the fact they don't give database in case I decide to transfer to another platform. What are other choices I have where the hosting is already included (with their subdomain in domain)?
Jcink allows you to download database backups of your site and it's completely free. You do have to pay if your forum has content that is 18+ though. I think createmybb also allows you to obtain a database backup of your forum as well. No other free host allows this though.
I know how to get free hosting and how to install forum software. It's just that I need to be sure it is free and good enough. I will checkup both of these are reconsider what is the best solution in this case. Thanks.
If you're looking to go with a free forum host, I would recommend Jcink like @Ravenfreak said. I've always heard that the owner (John) is a class act, and the service has been consistently reliable for a decade plus. It's existed for as long as I've been around.
