Best Free Forum Software for Beginner Forum

I still stand by MYBB even though I use phpBB the mods are like a plug-in and play and themes aren't hard to install

I will Mybb and probably Forumotion they have good software and themes and also have Xenforo on it for free

Forumotion is crap, especially in the way of security. A few years ago we were discussing this site on an old forum and my then tech admin told me just how bad security has gotten by logging into his account... I tried it using the first password is could think of and to my horror I WAS IN MY TECH ADMINS ACCOUNT!!!!!! which offered me insight as to why Forumotion forums were being hacked left right and center that year

If you are starting off on a paid hosting space, go for myBB or phpBB 😀 They are the best in service.

There need more free hosting services all the old ones are useless now icyboards aren't updating. Forumotion is old. So yea there needs to be more free hosting new ones anyone on here planning to open a free host anytime soon? for Mybb or Phpbb

Id say MyBB for that out of box great experience, but phpBB for that sit down and build up the prefect forum. The end result is highly debatable, but I'd say MyBB starts you out much better and can be easier to get off the ground.... so for a beginner software, I'd go with MyBB.
