Its sort of hard to compare someone who solely makes icons to someone who solely makes signatures. And that is evident in the graphics forums. You can get those who are good at both, but you rarely see them help others, ie. just "think" they are the best so they don't help out. Then you get those who do help out, but are sort of average, and don't shine above all. Nevertheless, regardless of their work, they are still morally better than those who don't contribute. Those who specialise in signatures basically showoff their work, and those who help with icons, or image editing, help in the exchanges. You just cannot compare the two like as if its some competition.
