We.ll, I have been talking to my dad about moving away from FreeForums and I need to find what the best host is. Give me your opinion what is the best whether it is paid, free, p2h, or any others you know of.

Thanks 😀

Thanks for the suggestion 😀 I thought that would come up.

Off-Topic: I though FP used Frog Host, hence the reason it is in the banner space and all bubble ads?

Nope, Froghost is FP's sponsor. 😉 Frog Host is just a smaller company from hawkhost anyway.

I think only your own experience can tell you how good or bad a certain host is. But personally, as long as the host is providing a very reliable service and good support, with high stability without overselling, then the host should be safe to use. There won't ever be the best host, at least they won't stay in that position for long; therefore I point to my first sentence. 🙂

There are loads of good free and paid hosts out there. For paid hosting, as long as they mostly get good reviews, then it's a good host. As for free hosting, I went with these guys.

My current hosting is not available publicly.

Paid host - Hawkhost
Post to host - HostJiffy
Free host - ProPhpBB

Those are my views. 🙂

Sitefrost (post to host) have too much downtime and forums hosted with them load really slow. 😉

what do you guys think of hostgator? I was thinking about them.

Never used them but I have read lot of bad reviews of them. When it comes to paid hosting it not hard choice, jut go with Hawk Hosting.

I've found eApps VPS hosting to be very reliable and the customer support to be fantastic.

The top hostings i know of which are paid too are

Hawkhost, DreamHost, HostGator, 1and1.com(you won't get cpanel though but they come up with amazing offers often.)
