What is the best source code editor?

It really depends on what language you're using, and what you're doing at the moment. Notepad++ is a very good editor for editing things quickly, including data files, but if you're going to write code in Java, for example, you're probably best off using a development environment like NetBeans. In the case of a scripting language like PHP, it all depends on how big of a project you're working on. For something quick, Notepad++ or similar is good, but for something more extensive, it's often a good idea to use something like phpStorm (a development environment).

Notepad++ is pretty much where it's at, although I'll still use the regular Notepad for quick drafts. I don't like using Microsoft Word.

I would recommend checking it out. It's very light and fast, but I think it provides more resources and capabilities than n++ :great:
