Start using the services here on Forum Promotion. Post on other related forums with a link back to your site in your sig.

You could advertise in social networks like Facebook or Twitter

You could offer some services, in return for payment via PayPal. You could think about services such as directory submission and forum posting.

You can ALWAYS think of some new domain related to your site. Pokemon has the added benefit of fans recognising "poke" as shorthand for pokemon. so your domain could have either one in there.

But then how else would you get the money, if they don't know where to send it?

A few tricks you could try are,

- Check other popular pokemon sites, and see if they got a section to advertise your website.

- Adding a signiture to what ever forums you are active on.

- Getting some of your friends who like pokemon, to join your site and help make it active.

- Use services here to boast your member and post count, or hit the post exchange section.

- Adding your site to a few topsite lists, is also a good idea.

To be honest I don't know hardly anyone of my friends that plays Pokemon, yes they were cool back in the day but I think Pokemon/Yu-gi-oh etc are for kids, still saying that I am a kid but I really dis-like Pokemon but try, just promote, affiliate and make good use of your site and don't give in easily.
