What do you think would be the best web page size(EXAMPLE: 800px wide)?

That seems to be what most people use.
I like 1000px some of the time though.

I would usually do a fluid width about, 80% or 75%.

It depends on the design honestly, it's never something you can choose ahead of time and stick with.

For example some designs work with a fluid width versus sometimes they don't.

Depending on what the website is I usually go 960 if I plan on it being fixed and if not I usually have fluid 80-90%.

960 is nice. But once you start getting into business, and dealing with tons of clients with different needs, it just doesn't do it. Nowa' days we usually make our own grid per the clients needs. But if you're just looking for some where to start http://www.960.gs is the way to go!

There's not a correct size and you can't always have what everyone wants..it's more of a preference thing IMO.

I agree, their isn't one CORRECT size for everyone/everything to solve all problems. But there is a more "preferred" size that can be calculated by browser statistics, needs of a client, etc.
