Does anyone know how i can improve my SEO on Movie Discussions. I've been noticing on Google a lot of the main page sites are either really small or dead. Movie Discussions is a medium sized forum, i am wondering how i can get a higher page rank on google etc.

Any tips?

Your actual site is built on forum software so it's going to be slightly harder than as if you had a website and a forum. You will need to have better URL structure, for example: http://www.moviediscussions.net/forums/ ... 977&t=3004 could be: http://www.moviediscussions.net/forums/sigourney-weaver.

Your next big task is to build links, you need good, quality, related to your niche links from other sites. Preferably movie websites/blogs/forums with good traffic and authority.

I would ignore Page Rank as you are a forum through and through, I would focus more on going for keywords to get more traffic. So say if you want to be first in Google for 'movie forum', your going to need links to your forum with 'movie forum' as the anchor text.

Some examples to get you started. I would focus more on building traffic and content, you will get more authority that way, being a forum.

Good luck.
