So if someone in Iran were to make a game about shooting up americans you'd be fine with it? After all what's the difference?

You wouldn't be to happy either if you're country was being accused of terrorism and being attacked ;/

Anyways, the article says it's made by EA.. But it's made by DICE.

Actually yes. I constantly hope to play as the bad guys in FPS'. In BF3 I wish I could have played as the PLR. In mw2 I wish I could have played as the Russians. I don't believe that it is fair that the US is always the "good guys", because if you look at reality you realize that's not always the case.

The game does not accuse Iran of being terrorists. The game created a fictional militia group called the PLR that were located in Iran. Much like Al-Quaeda is located in Iraq/Afghanistan today. But Iran is throwing another hissyfit and getting angry about it. And I am sure if a game came out where you shot at US soldiers, most people in the US wouldn't like that. But that's because everyones a bunch of wuss's nowadays. They can't handle a little fictional violence.

But maybe I'm the weird one...

I wouldn't be offended but I can understand why Iran banned it. A game where they shoot at their own troops.

Yeah but it makes sense. Let's take for example a church. The Da Vinci Code is fiction and I don't see anything wrong with it but I don't think it'd be wrong if a church was against having it viewed on their property or something since it technically goes against them.

That is iran for you.

> Ban a video game that can't possibly cause any true harm
> Begin their "Uranium Enrichment Program which OBVIOUSLY can't cause harm...right?

What a major fail on Iran's fault. I feel for the people whom live under such a rule.

Well they don't now 😛
Well this means less people to play with online 😛

I reckon the game should use fictional troops because at least one country is going to be offended Everytime 🙁

Just goes to show how realistic these things are getting. I haven't seen them ban movies depicting war with such nations, I mean, Video games are like user controlled movies now.

Yes but its still not nice for your people to be portrayed as the bad guys in many games. Mel gibson depicted a scene where english soldiers rounded up villagers in america and sent them into a barn then burned them alive in the patriot, this was based on a true story but it was actually german soldiers who did this to the russians in the 2nd world war, quite a few americans thought this really happened (stupidly) and then started hating on the english. What I am saying is that I can understand why they would ban this game when it depicts them as terrorists and genocidal maniacs.

Yes I can understand why.
But still I don't see why it's just a game 😛
