So it's now Trump vs Harris and I did stay up (2am in the UK) to watch the debate. What surprised me is not that both candidates lied but the degree to which they lied and that those lies went largely unchallenged. There seems to be a belief among politicians that if they say something is so then it must be so.
Migrants eating pets... lie, Trump era unemployment the worst since the 30s... lie, millions of people coming into the US from prisons and asylums... lie, if elected Trump will sign a national abortion ban... lie, inflation under Biden worst in US history... lie etc, etc, etc.
Why didn't the two interviewers challenge these statements?
