Big Boards down?

its down. I haven't been there even once. what's with big-boards?
 
I seem to be getting the same problem that you are.
 
Yeah well of course GoDaddy wants everyone to think that...I don't use them anymore anyway.

Just like those Apple ID's that got leaked and it was claimed their were stolen from a FBI guys laptop. Turns out they weren't. You shouldn't believe everything you get told... especially online.
 
Well yes clearly I'm not saying you should so really you can't believe either one of them and just move on with life 😀 😛

That can go both ways in this case though, so who do we believe?
 
I actually liked the Big Boards site, even it if wasn't updated, it was still a great place to find really huge forums. The facility to view really large forums by category, forum software, etc. was also great IMO.
 
Daniel, coincidentally I looked at that site some time ago, and again only a couple of days ago. When I looked at it first I really liked it. However, recently there seems to be something wrong with the categories. For example, if you look at their business category http://www.thebiggestboards.com/largest ... s-forums/1, there seems to be every kind of forum there, except business forums.

It's probably been spammed with many random forums, or that they were placeholders to give the appearance of people submitting their forums. I can imagine there'd be plenty of submissions each day, so it's probably dealing with a backlog and other things don't take priority. And looking at the forum, there's spam from 2011, so it appears the site is really just someone/group's part time thing, which they left or forgot about over the months.
 
It's a shame David, with those two sites not doing very much, there is a good opportunity for someone to fill that void.
