Big Problem - DirectSound

Quick info:
Win XP sp3.
Can't hear sound effects in many games, can listen to music and background sounds.
Dxdiag sound diagnostics:

DirectSound test results: Failure at step 20 (User verification of hardware): HRESULT = 0x00000000 (error code)

I searched on google, tried everything....
It was working with sp2.

(Realtek sound drivers)

Hmm, I really wouldn't know try Yahoo Answers, I've only had GFX problems but that was fixed with a new GPU.

Try updating you driver,

I have wasted days and days to find a solution.
Drivers were the first thing i tried ofc...

Can do see the driver in Device manager

Yes i can. Drivers looks all fine to me.

Can't hear some system sounds either.

I really need to fix this!

(looks like it's related to hardware buffer...It was working with win7 and sp2!!)
