BIG Problem With Advertising Forums

There is one big problem I see on many advertising forums and that is professionalism. A lot of promotion forums seem childish and promoters don't want a unprofessional childish site, they also don't want the staff to post like this: 'nie website you got er man, lookz gr8'. If your an owner of an advertising forum you need to make your forum look professional and you and your staff need to professional.

Like I said don't speak like 'nie website you got er man, lookz gr8' . Don't make your design look fun and something a child would like to look at. Make it simple and professional. Use proper grammar and write proper thought through guidelines. Grammar is one of the most important bits.

I agree with the grammar part but a design could be flashy & colorful and still look good. Simple and boring does not automatically equal professional.

You running an advertising forum yourself, what advice would you give to other forum owners who are looking to make their site successful? Believe me, a good style and good grammar isn't the only things needed to make a site successful... There is much more to it than that.

I personally think there is a difference between professionalism and having fun. Obviously if your forum is all work and no play the staff don't want to be there. You aren't hiring 30 year old CEOs to work on your forum, you are hiring teenagers (for the most part). So obviously a promotion forum won't be totally awesome and professional, but you have to let people have fun. Besides, it is a hobby to most people anyway?

Couldn't agree more here, even here at Forum Promotion there are a lot of teenagers as staff members, they are all doing great jobs and why discriminate them because of their age, if they can be professional and do a service then why not?

But I have to agree with you Steven. Everyone seems to jump into it. No one wonders about their spelling, talent, experience, or anything.

@Grumpy I know that professionalism isn't all but it is something I see lacking in a lot of promotion forums.
@THT I am 14 myself, I'm not saying you can't have fun but some people just go beyond fun they go silly.
