Sorry to say but only advertising on promotion forums and stuff will not work as well as you may think. You need to add your signature link to your profiles on other forums of this genre and submit to directories, search engines and topsites. People from promotion forums often join then just leave after they have joined as they know of other websites to join.

It's like a chain 🙂 You need to go out of that chain and advertise elsewhere as well (Not saying you can't post on promotion forums - it's just how I've seen my forums run).

Additionally you should check out postloop.com, it's an exchange service where you post on someones forum to earn points. Those points pay for posts others submit to your forum. Oh! And use exchange areas and just hope you get enough activity for active members.

-- Always add new content and features to your board.

I was wondering why users keep going inactive Thanks i will try those methods Post activily on other forums with my Url in my Sig im also going to try Google Adsense some staff on my forum say this works and Afflicates & Add exchanges
Thanks for giving me some tips

Actually that is not correct, promotion forums do work well 🙂 But yes, relying completely on them is a bad thing. You should try and get your members posting naturally without needing something in return, postloop is great but it is a very bad thing in the long run. You can get addicted to getting posts using this and your forum may seem active but just stop using it and you will notice how you forum will die out. Concentrate on getting real posts by real people and not on fake posts from exchanges and post programs.

Promotion forums are an over saturated genera. You really need to brainstorm and come up with ideas in order to make your forum unique. Without copying other people's work, I might add.

A promotion forum is easy to make successful. By easy, I mean extremely easy. You just need to think like a user, not like a developer.

There are lots of things that look easy when you are an outsider looking in, but then prove to be difficult when you actually try to do it yourself. There have been a huge number of promotion forums opening and closing in the last two years, if it was as easy as you suggest most of them would have been successful.

Most people make promotion forums thinking it will become sucessfull as FP the only way is to stay dedicated to your forum & be unique ive done alot of work on my forum

It's easy because not many users that do open it know how to market it.

That is part of the problem, but from what I see is people do not have the energy to stay a float with the forum, or do not have the time, that is why you see many forums changing ownership or being disbanded. Another problem with Promotion Forum owners are that they can not create new promotion ideas and so I would say that making a lasting Promotion forum is quite difficult.
