Birthdays..Good or Bad?

I feel that everybirthday is both good and bad....It's good because you get presents, but everytime I have a birthday....it just feels like a day Im getting closer to death 🙁

I don't really care either way. A lot of the time, I don't even bother to tell very many people it's my birthday. It's not all that special to me.

Hmm. :/ I hate telling people it's my birthday, because I feel like I am forcing people to say "Happy birthday!"

I never think of my birthday as a year closer to my death. You have to live every day like it's your last. That's my motto. I love birthdays.

I'm the type of person who makes a big deal out of everyone else's birthday, but I don't care about my own. That's how it usually is in my life. I care about everyone else, but I couldn't care less about myself.

Trust me after the age of 21 birthdays go downhill.....the presents get less, you feel old and you get pants and socks or smellies.....:lol:

I normally don't get fussed about my own birthday, I do like to get a card from people though, I'd much rather make a fuss of someone else on their birthday.

But this year I will be celebrating.......I'll be 40, that's a big birthday in the UK so I plan to party like there is no tomorrow :great:

If you think about it, birthdays can be bad if maybe a loved one died on your birthday. Or the birthday of your dead family member comes around. You want to celebrate their life, but you're also reminded they're gone.

Every day you are getting closer to death. Once you are born you start dying slowly. Why should a birthday make you feel any different?
