What do people think here of Bitcove?

http://bitcove.net

As you may or not know, Bitcove is an American based company ran by Joey Squires and Craig Tumblison.

At the moment despite having very ambitious plans (they want a datacenter and whatever in the future) they are still buying domains and selling them off for a slight profit or breaking even, and on the odd occasion perhaps a decent offer here and there. For example FDG which got $50 and WarezTarget... can't remember how much that got. Other then that not much.

To be honest... I do think they have potential but they fired me -.-. I got fired for absolutely no reason and Craig is a right prick. Nah in all seriousness, I was made redudant as there was sod all work to do for me. Fair enough tbh. Dan was sacked brutally though 🙁.

I'd like to finish this lengthy post (by my standards) with a clear message: LONG LIVE BITCOVE!

Quick Reminder: The views expressed in this thread may, or may not, be factual in nature. Please take the opinions of other posters with a grain of salt, and do your own research before forming an opinion of your own. Thanks! - Mike

I have never understood it and prefer to just leave it like that. Not too interested really.

Everything, just their general idea. 😛

At the moment they have a network of sites and buy/sell domains and sell them off with the occasional site being a long term project... that's not rocket science 😛

I have a fairly mixed feelings about bitcove and how it's currently managed. I feel that the ideas and such are there and very good but the execution is poorly to the highest level. They really do take on too much work at once and have fery little staff that none of them do work. The current members are:
Leo Ghost (owner)
Wrath (co-owner)
Fizola (leo's girlfriend)

At current date the only member doing any work is leo, all other members have been fired or left.

It may not seem like much but leo had a mass amount of domains from the years and he's liquifying them to gain extra funds for future projects and such. But his plans of a data center and such is way too big for now... theres no way he can cope with the costs.
Also at the time of sale to me FDG was apart of the GWN network and when I sold it it was my part alone. Also your confusing my site WarezTarget with Leo's and my project WarezRank which was also a part of GWN which I was kicked out of before sale and seen no income from the sale despite my co-ownership.

A few members of staff have been redundant for lack of work or no work, this is why the current team is of 3, 3 of which leo can't fire or remove... I myself wasn't brutally fired, we both agree'd me quitting was the best idea as there was no work for my area of experiance. 🙂

Have to agree with you there with the first part... Leo's full of brilliant ideas but the execution isn't great. I've also said that. Mind even I have some good ideas in theory.

Meh to be honest Leo should get people who will actually do work for the company. To be honest I think Leo's main reason for having Fizola as part of Bitcove is to keep Leo as organised as possible. As for Wrath well he helped found it so it'd be a difficult decision to get rid of him >.>

Agree about the datacenter...

Fair enough about FDG and I got WarezRank and WarezTarget mixed up, yes...

Lol. Leo told me he got a picture of himself with a sledgehammer, got your picture and photoshopped it so it looked like you had been executed by Leo... and I noticed in the background he had some small text saying Long Live Bitcove. It can't have been a peaceful agreement. 🙂

Amen to that

No it's for their school project so I think they are still there because he wants them to get a "decent" grade on it...

I rofl'd at that.

Yea beiiii!!!

The quotes fooked up a bit. True it's a school project but if Leo's as ambitious as he comes across as being he'll think beyond the school project now rather then later and do what's best for the company.

They offered me 15 bucks for a .info I bought for 1 USD once. I refused, but it was pretty funny. FYI, I don't think the .com was registered.

If you thought it was funny then why did you refuse the offer, also what was the domain...

Eh, I once sold a .info for $100 that I payed $1 for.

Seemed like a dead project, but new stuff is up.
It's alive, they've got quite a few sites up/soon to be up.

Site needs to be updated. Been seeing the "This page will be updated with proper information shorty. Sorry about the wait." for a while now.

Oh that's right. Thanks for clearing that up, that's not rocket science wow 😛

100 bucks for a .info? Woah? what was it?

Mine was: offournecks.info . Not really that valuable, TBH.

Cosmic said:
Because I didn't want to?

Right so you laughed because you recieved an offer of $15 for a .info domain because you only paid $1 for it but you didn't accept the money and make an $14 profit... fail.

Also I'm pretty sure it was burnparliament he was offering to sell to you $15 for, not buying offournecks...

How many domains have you bought and sold for a profit? Or even just sold? Domain flipping is quite hard nowadays, and if people can consistently do it, then they've got a good business going. It ain't easy.
