Black Ops Forum

Your Quick Review

jrd9p3.webpPros:
- You have a very good domain domain. You’re lucky to have blackopsforum.com because of how hot of an item CoD: Black Ops will be. Hats off to you for grabbing that, and putting it to good use.

- Your forum layout is very good. All of your forums are in appropriate categories. In addition, you have descriptive and useful forums. The only thing I could suggest is moving “LOL SPAM” to in the General Discussion forum as a subforum. I don’t know; it just seems unprofessional to have a spam forum shown prominently on the index.

- Your forum’s activity is absolutely outstanding. You always seem to have members active online. You have 60K+ posts, which is great for any forum. Whatever you are doing to generate activity, keep it up.

- You’re not overstaffed. Nothing bugs me more than when forums have a million staff members.

21agta9.webpCons:
- I don’t quite understand the array of links at the bottom of your forum. "Black Ops Forum - Call of Duty Black Ops Forum - Black Ops - Call of Duty Black Ops” They all lead to your forum, and are basically the same thing worded differently 4 times.

- This isn’t a huge deal, but I think a custom favicon would do you good. Having the default vBulletin one seems a bit boring. I think a CoD-related one would be better.

- Some of your style elements could be changed. I think your banner should be centered. Also, your theme is too dark. Everything is gray/black. It’s not very easy on the eyes.

13yh2c5.webpFinal/General Thoughts: Despite your forum’s minor shortcomings, you have an excellent community.

I agree. Coincidentally, I don't post in that forum for the same reason he stated.

I also agree here.

1) when you upgrade your vbulletin, this is overwritten. That's the downside of this.
2) Conversely, the suggestion is valid, because you need a consistent branding across the entire site.

Most gamers prefer dark themes. The hardcore gaming community chooses dark over light. Mr. Green's target market: The hardcore Call of Duty community. I want that market badly, too.
