Black Ops Vs. Halo Reach

I think I am, either way I will still probably end up buying black ops, and I would buy Reach if it were on PC.

What it really comes down.....Are you a Halo or Call of Duty fan? Which one will you not get sick of quicker? I honestly made the decision to not get Halo Reach and get Black Ops because I was a COD fan before Halo. And it looks like the new features in Black Ops are completely worth it. Reach looks amazing but I will get it later.

Yeah in all fairness, asking this question was kind of silly really because you'll get the CoD fanboys and Halo fanboys. True be told they're good in there own way, but for the sake of this unfair argument goes, Halo Reach as Treyarch are just crap and it looks like Black Ops is just a suped-up version of the terrible World at War.

Also to everyone, it's Call of Duty: Black Ops, not Call of Duty 7, they dropped the number past Call of Duty 3. Halo Reach looks epic and will kick it's ass though, the funny thing is that it will turn out like MW2, it disappointed everyone, look how many people still play it because of the unfair multiplayer. Spec Ops was good and so campaign but you don't want to re-play those once you've done them though, there is no advantage to it.<br /><br />-- 30 Aug 2010, 09:16 --<br /><br />Also...

Everyone will remember Halo Reach (After all people still and talk about play Halo CE which is 9 years old) but Black Ops will be forgotten.

Halo CE was one of the best games ever made as well, it doesn't surprise me that people still play it, millions as well. Halo 2 is of course the worst out of the Halo series though, that just was boring and okay till Halo 3 came out. Matchmaking was great on 2 though in all fairness.

The reason there lot of people playing CoD 4 is because MW2 was a disappointment to most Hardcore CoD fans. I don’t see thousands of people playing CoD 1 which is younger than Halo 1.

Well of course no one is going to play COD1 anymore. That is older than dirt.

Halo CE. Its unplayable on live but for PC it still works.
And luckily Black Ops will run on dedis, too bad for most of the world though since 9 out of the 18 locations are in the states.

Once again, a games sales numbers do not reflect its quality. Look at Wii Play. That HAS to be one of the greatest games of all time if we look at it that way.

No... its the fact that Gamestop owns GI. I've got no problem with them; I subscribe to GI and enjoy some of the articles. I'd just take their (and other major site) reviews lightly.

And that is exactly why reviews do not really count either. Its all up to the player. I for one, thought that it is probably the most overrated and over-hyped game in history.

FP doesn't get tons of money from forum owners in the form of advertising 😉.

Jeff Gerstmann for example was most likely fired for giving Kane & Lynch a bad review while Eidos was advertising the game a ton.

Quality Over Quantity.
The only reason Modern Warfare 2 sold so many copies was because of Call of Duty 4 and it got 9.5 not a 10. Also, most big Game Reviewing companies are bias and are paid to give a game x out of 10.

Back to Black Ops, I have to say it look better then any other Call of Duty but I thought Modern Warfare 2 was going to be good and look at it now.

Halo Reach hasn't gotten much publicity compared to Black Ops.
