Try redoing the order of your categories (also known to us as the layout). It would help if you would take more out of the category where the Announcements are. I'm sure you could find a better style, try finding something with orange in it, I think that would fit your forum the best.
Guys, i still havent got an members. hats wrong with my forum... i'v tried advertising in loads of places... is it because people dont want to join an empty site? well how do you get member in the first place.... 🙁
It takes time... Members don't just flood into your forum after promotions on a few forums.
Give it time and keep advertising it and if people people see it around every where then they might think "I keep seeing this forum and i might have a look" then they might sign up. Promoting just once doesn't really have that effect. It is like tv adverts... See one once and you forget about it whether it was good or bad however if it is shown on every channel every 30 minutes then you will remember it more and it will stick in their head and there is more chance of you remembering that product when it comes to buying it and more chance of actually encouraging some one to buy the product which they might have never thought about buying. The same concept does apply to forums.
