Blog or Website which do you prefer?

I like Blogs for posting news stories, gossip, journal entries, tips and tricks, short tutorials and general discussions about daily life + rants. But, I feel you have to update it with new content, or the blog will look dead and forgotten since everything is in chronological order.

But, If I was making a website on "building a bird house" then a website probably be better since it is easier to make pages and links in a certain order because of the navigation bar, and header link bar.

Navigation Bar
Step 1 : gather your supplies.

Step 2: cut your wood.

Step 3: Build your Bird house.

Step 4: Paint it.

I think that it depends on what you're trying to achieve. A blog has its purposes, and a website has others. A website can include a blog, among other things, so if you need a blog but would like to have other things (i.e. a forum or some other type content) you would be best with a website that has a blog installed into it. Otherwise, you can just stick with a simple blog. Again, it all depends on what you are trying to achieve. 😉

I think blogs are better for people who do not have a lot of spare time since with a website.

You have to make a way to navigate the website with a navigation bar, sitemap, and plan how to organize it.

With blogs, you can just make tags, categories, and your posts are automatically organized in chronological order.

The problems with blogs I notice is they tend to get very offtopic or have too many topics. Like the author has a blog on web design and then he goes offtopic and talks about his rash or music he likes.
