In the last couple of weeks I've been leaving quality comments in others' blogs and I am starting to see some actually check out my blog posts and they are beginning to comment as well. It's almost like a silent agreement. 🙂 Some say that leaving your website link on others' blogs look spammy however, in my opinion if you are leaving quality comments genuinely addressing the blogger's point in the post(s) then they ultimately do not mind if you leave your website link at the end of your comment. I aim to leave at least 5 sentences in my comments and I easily do more when I really relate to their post.
Do you go out of your way to leave blog comments for other bloggers?
If the comments refer to the blog post with informative sentences then building links are not harmful and are not considered as spam. Blog comments usually provide us with 'nofollow' backlinks and they are much helpful to drive traffic to our websites.
Definitely. It's not hard to go out of your way when commenting, especially if you are passionate about your niche and you're commenting blog posts from your niche. My case. 🙂
I try to do that whenever I visit a blog and I can relate to the blog post. If I cannot relate I don't normally have enough to say for a comment, so if I do comment it'd just be something like "Awesome post!" and things of that nature. It's not really hard to make a blog post comment unless it's one of those disqus things, then I normally just leave. I hate commenting on that software. 😛
