I never saw this feature on Blogger. (Another reason I'm so happy I made the switch to WordPress!) There is this feature that allows you to write up a draft and instead of posting it immediately you can actually schedule it to be posted at a later date and specific time. I have made it a personal goal of mine to post a new post every single day so this feature allows me to draft multiple blog posts and I can schedule it. This is particularly useful when I don't think I will have time to post on a certain day. Also, I find that I gain more views and likes when I post early so this is an incentive for me to write up the next day's blog post the night before. I haven't got a set routine yet for my blog but this scheduling feature is an amazing tool I think.

I am not really a blogger but I think this feature is very nice because it allows you to make posts in advance which will be useful when you know you will be busy. For example if you go on holiday for 2 weeks, you can write up a few articles and schedule them rather than just make 10 posts before you go on holiday and have no new content for 2 weeks.

If you're not scheduling posts, you're not blogging right.

There are research-supported times when it is best to publish a new post and scheduling lets you hit those key times with ease. Plus, you can have a new post come up (and even auto-promote it on social media) even when you're not at your computer or even connected to the internet.

There's just no reason to not use this feature.

Seeing as I've only used Blogger, I cannot say I scheduled many post. One of the main reasons why I did not use the scheduler was the simple fact that you could not schedule a post and automatically post on your Pinterest page, Facebook page, Twitter account or Google+ page. So I would have to manually go back and make sure each post was shared on various social media sites. However, if you posted manually it would post to Google+ and it was convenient enough for me to just go ahead and share that post on other social media websites that I was use to share my content.

Yep, this is a very useful feature. 🙂 We used it a lot when I was ETL (still do I think). Generally we spaced posts to be the same amount of days apart, and also set to publish at the same time each day (1800 UTC). Using this feature really helps to keep posts published consistently.

I don't use it, mainly because I don't feel a need to update that regularly (it's a blog about my weaving), I post when I feel there's something worthy of posting, like new experience, new knowledge or I just feel my thoughts are worth sharing.

I do have a facebook page, twitter and instagram connected with the blog though (instgram shows as a feed on the blog so there's new content through that, and all blogposts are also linked on both facebook and twitter) and I expect that more people follow me on those places and I basically use the blog as an extra outlet when I want to make a longer post.

It is a useful feature though, and I will likely use it at some point to spread postings if the need comes up.

I use it all the time also. I enjoy blogging more when I don't have to worry about writing a post out at inconvenient time, I could already have posts scheduled and ready to go.

(Blogger does have a scheduling feature though-on the right hand side of the post editor) 😉

I used to use this in the past as well! Sometimes you feel like riding and other things you don't, but if you schedule things properly, you can use that energy to your benefit and relaxing knowing that you have fresh content even if you don't want to write that day.

I have to be honest, no, not really.

I like publishing directly after I write an article. Nothing more.
