Blue collar no more: Skilled auto technicians are in high demand
The tight labor market, while frustrating for employers, can be a boon for blue-collar workers: They are more likely to find good-paying jobs and experience rapid wage growth.
Oddly enough, the demand is in plumber, electrician etc. jobs - but so many feel it's beneath them - and others have no ability and/or desire to pass the certification exams.
Anyway, I do feel there's been a propaganda campaign against them, but mounting college degrees that haven't paid off - say a different story.
