Which do you prefer?

Ever since I got a Bluray player I have been buying nothing but Blurays. I have always been a fan of watching a crisp movie on my HD TV more than a DVD. I do have a pretty extensive DVD collection as well, but I have been working on slowly purchasing all of the same movies on Bluray. I know in my lifetime Blurays will become obsolete as well but for now I love them.

If you have an HDTV I definitely recommend blu-ray. However if one still has the old school TV then there's no reason to hookup a blu-ray player to it because you won't be able to take advantage of the resolution.

We usually buy blu-rays but we sometimes buy DVDs when they're a good deal at the local bookstores and we really enjoy the movie. Some movies that I have that aren't available on blu-ray: The American Dream (The Jacksons Story), A Diva's Christmas Carol, and What's Love Got to do with it (The Tina Turner story).

Yeah I definitely agree with your HDTV statement for sure.

Agreed with having a HDTV - my friends grandparents have an old school TV and they have a Bluray Player and it does nothing for them.

I love the Blu Ray players and DVD's, the crispness of the movie is amazing. <3 Though we usually only rent movies or watch them online with even better crispness. 😛 I haven't bought a DVD in a long while.

I currently have a decent DVD collection but I am slowly but surely converting everything over to Blu rays.

I prefer Blurays. They are better IMO and I don't really find many DVDs anymore.

I don't have a Blu Ray so I use DVDs though with our digital tv we have about six movie channels plus on the decoder there's a recording device so I generally record movies through that.

Bluray players are definitely worth investing. I just bought SPECTRE and it looked super HD.

rather have DVDs since it's cheap and aren't much difference with an high tech TV

It's 2016 now Blu Rays should be norm by now. There is a clear difference between Blu Ray and Dvd's.

DVD for me. I never did understand BluRays, so I go for the more simpler one.

I am happy to watch either or. That said, we buy Blue Ray and DvD combo packs of all of our movies so that we have both.

Have to go Blu-Ray, but do I really need to repurchase all the sets I have. Not at all.
