"The Art of Community" by Jono Bacon is not really a book for someone looking for guidelines on how to set up and manage their first forum. It uses the term "community" in the broader sense of mailing lists, blogs, forums, wikis, etc. The book is very much focused on open source software communities but there are still lessons in it for forum owners and it is worth reading for anyone interested in an in-depth look at online community.
