I'm having an issue when it comes to booting my computer.

I turn the computer on and I get the "dell" logo. It stays on that screen for at least a minute before moving on to the next stage of the startup process.

Next, it goes to a black screen and it stays on a black screen for at least 2 minutes before it starts booting into windows.

It's smooth sailing once it starts booting into windows.

I don't know what I did wrong, as it's only been doing this for a few days.

I appreciate any help.

If you know CMOS then maybe you can check the setting. That happened to our old desktop before the hard disk gave up. I think the system checks on the devices so if you have 2 hard disks and 1 is faulty then it will take time for the booting to continue.

It can be anything, first is your bios booting up fine and it seems it is even that it's slow. So remove the CMOS battery and reset it then try it again. If not then it's 100% sounds like an hard drive fail
