Boy, do google [bot] and yahoo [spider] Ever leave you alone? lolz...

It seems like they never leave.

because I'm still on phpbb 2, w/o a whois check, I have no way of knowing when google or yahoo are online on mine.

I go to admin index and run a trace route on the ip address.

You can just look at the admin index and if the ip address begins with 66.249. then it is a googlebot and if it is 74.6. something it is a yahoo bot.

I don't really know any others.

Google yes. Google Sonic Promotion and you will find it 3rd and 6th in the list:

3rd as - sonicpromotion.freeforums.org

6th as - sonic-promotion.usa.gs

In google.co.uk http://www.sonic-promotion.usa.gs/ is 7th and sonicpromotion.freeforums.org is not on the first 3 pages.

Edit: your homepage isn't even in the google index. Only one thread from your forum is.

I think that's because I bought a domain. Because before the purchase and parking it was there.

The MSN bots have an IP address starting with 65.54. These are not that active. They only visit here like once a week.

1. I see the msn bot on your forum right now (at the time of the post)

and

2. I saw your url as #1 in google. Yay!

It has been quite active today and it hadn't visited for a week or so.

Under forumpromotion we are 1st and 2nd and our old forum is 3rd and under forum promotion we are second on google.co.uk. Still not is yahoo and one page is in MSN.

Those bots are on my board all the stinking time - yet I'm still not ranked. Grrr.

Normally with Google you get ranked quickly in most cases. Yahoo, MSN and others usually take the time.
