Last week burglars broke into our clubhouse, stole anything of value (as far as we can see they only took our PC and T,V), and burned down the place.
The roof collapsed thus making it hard for us to save anything.
I've been a staff member of this club for near 10 years, and we always had a small budget, and too few staf. but we managed.
but as it looks now, it's probally the end.
As you can see here the damage we suffered is enormous.
it seems the burglars Did not take anything of value.
The pc, tv and other easy to sell hardware is still there, it's just buried under the roof.
All they took with them was beer, keys, and food. they even had some beers at the scene.
It also seems they slept there since there's food, beer, and 2 sleeping bags on the ground.
The only things that we were able to save are: tents, ropes, gastanks, and some other materials used for camping.
We've had a meeting today to evaluate the damage. Which was enormous.
this thursday we'll decide whether or not to rebuild it. If not, story's over.
Either way, if we decide to start all over it will take months of work and thousands of euro's.
If we decide to quit we still got a big problem, the ground is not ours only the building is.
So we will have to clean everything up. wich will also cost thousands. and take months.
