Hey guys, my forum, WebmasterConvo, experienced a big amount of downtime about two weeks ago.
Since the downtime the forum has been pretty much dead and I'm the only guy posting in the forum.
Would you guys know what are some good ways to bring my forum back to life?

Thanks for any help peepz.

I would say the best way is probably to add a new feature or two, and then have a posting competition. The reason I suggest you add a couple more features is because you need to have a reason for members to keep on coming back after the competition.

However, in my experience, bringing a forum back from the dead is one of the hardest things to do, so good luck.

I agree with what Android said.

In addition to that, forums in the webmaster niche are really hard to get started in the first place, so getting it back from the dead will prove to be tough as well. You should try to come up with something unique for your forum, and perhaps have contest like Android said.

I would also suggest that you condense some of your forums. There are a lot that have very few threads in them and that is very unappealing to some people. It will also make your forum look dead to new members.

I would also suggest archiving the "We just got hacked!!!" announcement..It makes guests think your forum security is crap.

I would say keep working for your form, interact with users, create some new accounts with avatar, post quality content, remove spam, build some links, advertise in other similar forums, these things would help you a lot.
