After extensive investigations into their behavior, we have decided that the best course of action is to remove all resources released by Brivium from XenForo.com. No further Brivium resources will be listed on XenForo.com. If you have questions about accessing any resources you use from Brivium, please contact them via their site directly. Our actions extend only to their activity on XenForo.com.

It is unfortunate that it has come to this, but we have taken these steps in order to protect our community and other resource authors. If we receive allegations of misbehavior by a community member or a resource author, we will investigate the allegations fully and take the steps we deem necessary.

Regards,
The XenForo Team

So the developer with the most add-ons over at xenForo allegedly helps run a hacking site, and as such has been banned from the site and had his resources removed. Also he apparently managed to take over someone's account over at TAZ and removed all threads regarding Brivium from the forum.

Interesting news, certainly. Anyone at FP using Brivium resources on their forum?

Wow, this is pretty crazy! Does Brivium make very many resources? :S Anyway, not sure if they make any phpBB stuff, but I did a quick check and fortunately we're not using any of their stuff for our upcoming upgrade.

Also, for anyone who's interested, this is the announcement TAZ posted.

Was Brivium (allegedly) hacking TAZ the main reason why XenForo removed the resources? That seems like a pretty dumb thing for them to do, to me. 😛

It appears my Lazy threadmaking skills have struck again! I've updated the OP to make it clearer.

They make xF add-ons only as far as I am aware and nope, the only reason appears to be the alleged running of a forum supporting and distributing nulled software, although the incident with TAZ only adds to the evidence.

Wow. 😛 Supported nulled software is probably the one easiest way to get a paid forum software to ban you from their marketplace. I wonder if they'll shift focus to another software now, or try to get by without the XenForo marketplace?

I'd say their reputation will have been shattered enough by this, although from what I've heard they didn't exactly have the highest coding standards to begin with, and were very inconsistent with their work.

That's just nuts. But what were Brivium resources, though? That name rings a bell. And as I am on a free hosted environment, where features are added for you, I don't think our host uses anything like that, but then again, it IS phpBB they use, so if Brivium doesn't manufacture phpBB features, that's probably a good thing.

Brivium wasn't that good of a guy anyways. He rubbed people the wrong way with how he coded things and the issue of copyrights from the plugins. His copyrights couldn't just go where the rest went they had to eb visible and in the way.
