Do you browse the Internet through a gaming console? Which gaming console and browser are you using to do this?

I think you can browse the Internet through the Nintendo Wii but I didn't find it that great to be honest but I hear that Internet Explorer will soon be on the Xbox 360 aswell as other new features and I was wondering what your opinons are about IE coming to the Xbox 360? Will you be using it or will it not be at all helpful for you?

I heard you need the Kinect or a microphone/headset to use voice commands for the 360 to search or visit websites with voice commands, and hand gestures to go back, forward, and click on links.

The Wii U might be a good game console for browsing the web because of the faster CPU, and more RAM then the Wii, and the tablet controller which comes with the Wii has a touchscreen for more easy typing, and gestures.

I only did that when I didn't have a working computer and it was torture because the console (Wii) was just so slow and typing anything took forever.
I haven't done so since 2009, but I don't think I'd bother anyways.

I tested out the IE on my xbox. I think its a nice feature to have. I can check up on my forum if any of my laptops break.

Its good to have for the 360 as an extra feature. Watching youtube videos on it is the only thing I see myself doing.

I think its way better then the PS3 anyway.

I've only used the internet on my Xbox 360 once or twice, since i have a laptop it's really inconvenient to use my Xbox for internet instead.

i have used it before on my ps3, but its not that convenient, without plugging in a keyboard, its gets annoying typing things with the controller

Do you need to pay for xbox live gold to access the internet on the console?.

A few years ago when I didn,t have a tablet or desktop I only had the Wii,It actually does toucure you the wiiis so slow and you can,t do much with it..

But do you need a xbox live gold subscription to access the internet?.

Yes I think its the most pathetic things ive seen from any company, You don,t need to be go.d to access the androids internet..

Is there any reason anyone with a computer would do this?

Only reason if the PC wasn't available to use. that's my reason.

Though as far as the PS3 goes, it's a pain. Not to bad on the 3DS though.

Meh the PS3 browser could be better.. Honestly I think they should have done what Nintendo did. Team up with a web browser company and implement it.

Opera works great on the wii.

Yes, I've used the internet via the Wii, 3DS, and even the DSi (the latter wasn't that great, but the other two work fine).

One question, If I browse the internet on my xbox can it get a virus?.

That's a good question. A question I don't know the answer to. However, its just like a Mobile or Tablet device. I believe everything that has access to the internet can gain a virus some how. I'm not sure that the platforms are capable of getting hit with one though yet. I could be wrong though.
