How does everyone feel about Bruce Willis retiring from acting?

Bruce Willis’ family has announced the actor is retiring from the profession after being diagnosed with aphasia, a language disorder caused by brain damage that affects a person’s ability to communicate. Willis’ family members posted a joint statement to social media announcing the actor’s retirement.

He should be retired anyway at his age, I mean it's not like he needs the money and also the last films that he has done are crap and rubbish and low budget. Shame that his age is now on his side and going to get worse with his disorder, at least he be remembered for future

I was surprised to hear this. I honestly never expected to see him quit acting. I grew up watching him back when he was making hit movies like Die Hard.

I knew something was up when he went to be with his ex-wife and daughters instead of his current wife during the shut downs 2 years ago.

I think he needs to live out the remainder of his life without unnecessary stress.

Just think all the great actors are ageing so fast.

I've always liked him as an actor. I remember him in Moonlighting from the 80's! I hope he is able to spend good, quality time with his loved ones 🙂

The last film I saw him in was dire. The name of the film escapes me but I was genuinely shocked at his performance which was completely detached. Now I know why.

I suspect from what I've seen and read he's suffering from far more than aphasia and sadly it's probably a progressive disease from which he won't recover. I doubt he had any choice but to retire.

He must have accepted that he has to now.

I don't remember watching movies with him in them. Actually no, I've seen Rugrats crossover with the Wild Thornberries (and it wasn't the best) and never realized he was in The Lego Movie 2 (also bad). You know it's a shame he was only in action movies and rarely movies for a wider audience. Anyways I hope he can look back on his career and enjoy the ones he was in.

My hubby told me about this when it was announced. I can see why he's stepping away from acting after that diagnosis. I would as well if I was in his shoes.
