Have you ever come across bugs / errors on your sites or forums that you couldn't fix yourself, and had to ask for assistance from either the software developers or from a hired programmer?

Definitely, yes. I had to ask a member of the MyBB Staff Team to fix broken files in my forum's database backup once. 😀

Definitely! A lot of the time, some intense Googling can help you fix the problem, but I really appreciate support forums when that doesn't work.

Well, in my case, said intense Googling directs me to the support forum. 😀

Yep. I usually Google first and then ask over at the software's official support forum. It some cases I go to a 3rd party support forum.

Everyone does from time to time. 😛 I wouldn't really count googling as asking for assistance, because it's really just one tool which every programmer, even very experienced ones, use to pull up information which they do not remember. Sometimes I post a question on Stack Overflow, but that's pretty rare. Most problems I can solve by myself. It's just a matter of devoting the needed time, I guess. 😛

Yes, I had problems which I couldn't fix before and that means someone else would of had the same problem so doing a google search would solve the issue. If there are no results, there are a lot of forums which you can ask for help.

Yeah I have come across a lot and whenever I do, I try to clear it by going to the respective language's IRC channel on freenode. Those people always helped me!
