Bugs in the fire alarm?

It keeps going off and there's no fire. Any idea? I assume the bugs want a warm place as I've seen this before at another place.

when it doesn't go off is an real bug. sounds like the battery is going off or maybe you should replace it with an new one. I say they only last 5 years

I would replace the battery as @Empire had mentioned. You may even be able to have your local fire department come and examine/diagnose the smoke detector free of charge.

I guess it is the sensor that is at fault. When the sensor is dirty it cannot sense the heat or smoke so when the opposite happens then that will set off the alarm. Now the question is what exactly is the opposite situation that can set off the fire alarm?
