Ok, let's see... The site has listed 100 or so sites which you, yourself, place your link into a cached search, eg. "Backlink Checker", so it creates a new page to check for your site's backlinks, eg. "mybacklinkchecker.com/mydomain.com" and within that page, it links back to your site, thus creating a backlink to your site.

This method only really is effective if Google (eg.) indexes that page as well. If Google doesn't index that page then you won't really gain that backlink because it's not noticed.

Here is a simpler version:
