I assume that even as I type up this reply you are working on your forum. When I first loaded your index page, I saw that forums were listed in two rows for each category (any interesting look, that), and that you had a sidebar with several "blocks." However, when I re-loaded the page about a minute later the forums were arranged in one row. A few seconds later, I received the following error when refreshing the index page:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected '<' in /home/bulletin/public_html/forum/forum.php on line 687

As quickly as it came the error disappeared, and I see the index is still arranged in one row without the sidebar.

Ah! The two row arrangement is on your portal. Interesting. I do not often see that on a portal. I prefer this arrangement to that on the index page, though apparently the downside is less room to display the stats of each forum.

I see you put a lot of thought into your registration process. For one, you are using the comprehensive Spam-O-Matic add-on. Also, I take it you spent time searching for alternative anti-spam add-ons for your registration page, as you are using an unusual image verification called KeyCAPTCHA. Lastly, I like the one-page registration, though I assume this is par for the course for vBulletin4.

Anyways, I am registering. Edit: Registered as Medora. Submitted several posts already.

Hi Medora, thank you for registering and your feedback. 🙂

I'm glad you like the portal's arrangement. Members don't tend to visit the portal page too much so there isn't much need to keep information on there, but hopefully new visitors will like it enough to join.

Despite finding what we thought was the best anti-spam add-on when we set up the forum, we were still getting quite a few spam registrations. But KeyCAPTCHA seems to have helped significantly, and it looks good. 😀
