Burning Board

Has anyone run a successful community with WoltLab Burning Board? Just want to know, I might switch to it's lite version to see if my community would work on it.

Never heard of it and IIRC your current board is on vB, would be a backwards step and that's coming from someone who doesn't like vB.

There is a lite (free) version of Burning Board. It's not as good as vBulletin or MyBB etc.l I don't think many people know if it because there's so little sites using it.
board.ikariam.org is an example of Burning Board being used (it's using the paid version)
Only three files for upload to install.

Not as cool as vBulletin / IPB, though, in my opinion. It has quite a few oddities which I dislike.

The theme looks cool in my opinion. Nothing better than IPB.

Burning Board is good to start a forum with, but it's rather expensive and you don't get nearly all the features.

I think http://board.ikariam.org is the largest community using Burning Board.

I have seen burning boards and I find them alright,but your better sticking with vb and I too hate vb.

It appears there is a mixed consensus of the software. Some like it, some don't, some are in the middle.
